How Energy Healing Works And What Is Energy Therapy

by: ManiZone Administrator

The holistic practice of energy healing activates subtle energy systems within the body in order to eradicate blockages and enable it to heal itself. Sometimes known as energy therapy, there are several different types of energy healing, although all work on the same principles. To find out more about what energy healing really means and how it can help you with your health and well-being, read on.

What Is The Principle Behind Energy Healing?

Energy therapies are based on a belief that there is an energy field permeating the body that affects our well-being and health. Sometimes, it’s known as prana, qi, life force, vibrational energy, or subtle energy.

Most energy therapy philosophies say that mental and physical health conditions occur if the energy becomes stuck or fails to flow properly. Those who practice energy therapy believe it’s possible to find healing and balance in the body by working with this energy either remotely or through physical touching.

Is There Any Science Behind Energy Healing?

Although it may sound like Chakra therapy is rather fantastical, in fact, it has its basis in scientific principles. Anyone who has studied physics at school knows that all matter is composed of molecules. No matter how solid an object appears to be, it vibrates constantly. We humans, too, vibrate all the time.

The phrase “good vibes” refers to the vibrational energy that a person emits, and it has been shown that happy people usually vibrate at a higher frequency than those who are sad.

Is There More Than One Type Of Energy Healing Modality?

There are several kinds of energy healers and they practice different modalities of energy healing. Each form of therapy uses its own different techniques and tools. Some of the most common energy therapies include:

  • Acupuncture
  • Reflexology
  • Massage and touch therapies
  • Reiki
  • Aura cleansing
  • Chakra therapy
  • Crystal healing
  • Shamanic healing
  • Quantum energy healing
  • Pranic healing
  • Qigong

Here is an overview of some of these healing techniques:

Reiki Energy Healing

The energy centres of the body have been studied for millennia by people from all over the world. In Japan, a form of energy therapy known as Reiki was developed in the early years of the 20th century. Reiki energy healing centres around the seven chakras.

These are the body’s energy transmission centres and were described first in Hindu ancient texts. Made of two Japanese words – the word Rei which means “God’s Wisdom” and the word Ki which means “energy”, Reiki is a therapy that uses specific symbols and hand movement techniques to channel the universe’s energy to bring healing to the body.

This therapy is known to help in curing ailments such as stomach ache, headache, flu and colds. There is also some evidence it can help with serious conditions like heart disease.

Pranic Healing

This therapy involves using the life force of the body to heal itself. Working specifically on the individual’s aura or body energy, this therapy cleans toxicities from the body to accelerate the process of physical healing.

Crystal Healing

Crystals and stones can be used to draw impurities out of the body. These work in different ways on the human body, targeting different emotional, spiritual, and physical problems. They can repel negative energies from the body that disturb the physical and mental well-being.

Quantum Energy Healing

Quantum energy healing uses the principles of entertainment and resonance. The body’s energy level escalates through visualising energy flow and breathing. Not only is Quantum Healing spiritual, but it can direct positive effects on immunity.

Qigong

This therapy regains the body’s lost balance. It dates back more than 4000 years, and is made up of coordinated body movements paired with meditation and breathing to stimulate spirituality and health. The root of this therapy lies in traditional Chinese medicine. It is believed to balance the body’s positive energy which is vital to remain healthy.

Aura Cleansing

The aura acts in a similar way to a filter. It affects the way in which you perceive and view the world. If the aura is full of negative things, the person feels lethargic and sad. If the aura is strong, though, the person feels more energised and positive. Aura cleansing involves ridding negative energies from the body by using mental exercises or physical activities. It’s also possible to cleanse the aura of a house to get rid of negative energies.

Can I Improve My Energy Health Myself?

Of course, you can visit an energy healer for any issues you may be experiencing, but there are ways to improve your energy health yourself at home. You can carry out aura cleansing independently using several different techniques. These include:

Water Cleansing

Water cleans the physical body and it can cleanse the aura too. Taking a bath with pink Himalayan salt or essential oils in the water will help to get rid of stress. Visualise your problems flowing down the drain as you focus on how it feels for the water to hit each area of the body.

Smudging

Smudging uses smoke from dry herbs to cleanse the aura. Originally a ritual developed by Native Americans, this process involves lighting a bundle of cleansing herbs filled with sage, lavender, or sweetgrass, or a smudge stick and waiting until the flame has gone out. Once it is smouldering, just move it around your body, making sure to reach as far as possible in every direction. The herbs will get to work on cleansing your energy as soon as it makes contact with your aura.

Reciting Positive Affirmations

Positive mantras act like a meditation aura cleansing session. Choose a mantra that is uplifting and positive and recite it out loud, feeling the words vibrate through your body.

Can Energy Healing Work Instead Of Western Medicine?

Energy healing may offer its own benefits, but it is a complementary therapy, just like herbal remedies. If you take Western medicines for any health issue, you shouldn’t stop taking them just because you’re using energy healing therapies too. In fact, energy therapy works very well in conjunction with Western medicines, helping to relieve stress and anxiety by boosting your balance and relaxation.Once you have cleansed your aura, you may wish to protect yourself from further negativity. You can use amulets for protection to ward off any evil intentions or negative energies that could cause you harm or make you unwell.
